It is now 1am and I'm happily tucked away in my duvet. New sheets make me happy, and tonight the smell of sunshine and Febreeze keeps me company.
Life is good. No really, life has been good - not sheerly under the influence of my new sheets. The past week has been a routine of sleep - eat - TV , but I lead such mundane life with contentment. I can't remember the last time I stayed home so long, or the last I had time to nap in the evenings , wake up at 7pm to cook myself some dinner, and wait happily infront of the TV for my 9 o'clock show (I'm a die hard fan of Dream Makers, finally a worthy Channel 8 production.) I think it was back in the days when I was still studying when I had time for evening naps and cooked dinners - which mind you, was 8months ago, oh how time flew.
Granted, I haven't exactly been home all week - Monday was NUS health check x dinner with Hee & Nana ; Tues Marche & Addams family ; Wed was my appointment at KK followed by dimsum with mum and Thurs Ronald came over to glam up my Mac. So technically I only stayed home for 3days? But yea , post work pre uni life has been going well.
And thanks to social media , I haven't been detached from the world, or rather my world, despite not meeting up especially Jt & Qy. So happy for my faithful tight group of friends. And even happier that Qy attended NBS camp and seems cheerier since her return. Hope she meets good people and finds friends in NTU. Apparently rumour has it that uni camps changes people, but my two baby girls still seem the same so I guess those rumours aren't true, or perhaps it's our friendship that stands to the test of time. The longest 8months without seeing each other daily, and we're still close as ever. I'm thankful :)
Ps. We sometimes dwell too hard on the bad times and forget to celebrate the good.
Here's to all the good times, no matter how long or how short they lasted. Here's to everyone for we are alive, and I can't think of anything greater than that. Peace out xoxo
